Wireless Home Security Systems

Security2020 currently offers the Skylink Security System and will adding to this category with offerings from other manufacturers in the near future.  If you are looking for a Do-It-Yourself, DIY, home security system, we find Skylink hard to beat.  Since the system is a wireless home security system, you do not have to run a network of wires through your house.

Driveway Alarms

Driveway alarms really come in two fashions: magnetometer sensor systems and motion or movement based. Magnetometer based systems will on detect movement of any large metallic (iron or steel) object close to the driveway sensor. A motion based system such as our own Driveway Informer, will detect any movement through its Pyroelectric Infrared Sensor and send a wireless signal back to the receiver.  The Driveway informer will transmit up to 3,000 feet, giving it the power often missing in many other systems.  You can also add multiple transmitters and multiple receivers to the system making it more than just a "driveway alarm."

Fake Security Cameras

Fake and Dummy Security Cameras have come a long way since the days of plastic toys.  Many of our Fake Cameras and Fake Domes are actual camera housings and impossible to distinguish from functioning cameras.  Whether you use the alone or in conjunction with live monitoring, these cameras and domes help deter crime.  We have also recently introduced Solar Based Fake Cameras and Domes.  This simply means the sun will recharge the batteries that power the flashing red led emitted by the cameras and domes.

Motion Detectors

Just as the name implies, motion detectors detect motion.  We sell simple motion detectors, motion detectors tied to lights, strobe lights, and many other options.  Once product I really like in this category is the Voice Alert System 6. The Voice Alert transmits your recorded voice message (up to one per zone) when triggered from a PIR motion sensor, vibration sensor, etc.  Based on the technology, imagination is the limit on how you can use this system.

I am always amazed at how effective these things really are.  Often, the simple site of a security sign in a window or in the front yard, or a sticker in the window are a enough to stop a criminal.

Entrance Alerts

The ingenuity of the EZ Tone Entrance Alert continues to amaze me.  The simple effectiveness of this old time favorite continues to make it relevant today.  Over the years, I have become so accustom to hearing the simple "ding" made by the EZ Tone that I have one in my own home.
