Wireless and Hose Driveway Alarms and Alert Systems

Whether you want to monitor your driveway or other parts of your property, there are many products offered by Security2020 that will meet this need.  Most people often forget about the need to monitor the security of their entire property.  Even though the interior of their homes are often protected, the yard, shed, driveway, etc. often goes neglected.  To ensure total protection for you and your family, monitoring your driveway is essential.

Essential elements of a driveway alarm and alert system:

Transmitter -  This is often referred to as a sensor.  Usually are found in three flavors:

• Pyroelectic Infrared Sensor (PIR) - The most common.  Detects any kind of movement.  This is the most versatile type of sensor available and may be deployed in many different types of situations.
• Magnetometer - Detects large metal objects.  Great at detecting cars, trucks, etc.
• Pneumatic - Changes in air pressure trigger the sensor.  An example of this is the old rubber hose deployed at old time gas stations.  As a car rolls over the hose, the increased air pressure within the hose triggers the sensor,

Receiver - The chime, the doorbell, the speaker, etc.  This is the part that receives the signal from the transmitter (sensor).  Most products will receive the transmitted signal and process that signal via an alarm, chime, message, blinking light or other means.
